Dozens of colorful standup pouches are lined-up on a Safeway grocery store shelf.
A colorful display of specialty food packaging where no product "pops" on the shelf.

The product packaging found at this Northern California Safeway look fantastic individually, but unfortunately…they’re equally invisible in a “sea of sameness” where it counts the most. For the record, this photo shows less than 50% of the actual wall of standup pouches.

Whatever your category, don’t forget to periodically review how you’re seen (or not seen) from a consumer point-of-view.

Want to own the aisle in 2026? Get a step ahead of the competition and make differentiation a priority in Q1.
